GIỚI THIỆU BỘ MÔN BIÊN PHIÊN DỊCH

 

Bộ môn Biên - Phiên Dịch là một trong ba bộ môn của Khoa Ngoại Ngữ - Trường Đại Học Nha Trang, được thành lập cùng ngày với Khoa Ngoại Ngữ theo quyết định của Hiệu Trưởng Trường ĐHNT ngày 09/09/2009. Hiện nay bộ môn là địa chỉ đáng tin cậy nhất của khu vực Nam-Trung bộ trong công tác đào tạo cử nhân tiếng Anh chuyên ngành Biên-Phiên Dịch. Thế mạnh của bộ môn là các học phần thuộc lĩnh vực ngôn ngữ mang tính hàn lâm (Ngữ Âm - Âm Vị Học, Hình Thái Học, Cú Pháp Học, Ngữ Nghĩa - Ngữ Dụng Học) và các học phần thuộc chuyên ngành Biên-phiên Dịch (Dịch đuổi và dịch cabin) mang tính kỹ năng nghề nghiệp liên quan đến lĩnh vực phiên dịch hội nghị. Điều này được thể hiện rõ trong chương trình đào tạo bậc đại học của Khoa.Hiện tại bộ môn gồm có 8 giảng viên và hầu hết được tu nghiệp sau đại học ở nước ngoài tại như Australia, Canada và Hoa Kỳ:

Department of Translation and Interpretation

Introduction

Originated and separated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Department of translation anf interpretation was officially established on September 9th 2009. At present, it is the most reliable address that offers translation-interpretation training in the Central-Southern region. It can be proud of the high-qualified teaching staff who can provide students with a comprehensible command of English language in Translation-Interpretation field.
Currently, the department consists of 8 lecturers.

Functions

General Objectives:

- To train Bachelor of English with high qualification in both theory and practice. They have ability and capability of working creatively and independently, and dealing with the matters of translation and interpretation sector.
- The department aims to be a leading provider of national and regional English language training, especially translator and interpreter training programme.

Specific Objectives:

The first stage: English-major students are equipped with 5 skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing and pronunciation practice
The second stage: students are equipped with specialized knowlege of interpretation, translation, languages and cultural exchange,phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, etc. in order that students can utilize their major in their future jobs.
Presently, the Department has been conducting English major classes and Second Bachelor Degree classes. The courses comprise the classes 50, 51, 52 and 53. The Department also teaches basic English (TOEIC) and English for Special Purposes (ESP) for all of the students of the University.
The Department often organizes academic activities, professional seminars in order to upgrade the teaching capacity of the teachers. Additionally, the teachers of the Department also join in major training course at the University and at partnering Universities.
